James Fleet Underwood lives in Ongkharak, Thailand, where he teaches English and writes poetry rooted in the strange beauty of daily life. His work explores themes of nature, memory, death, and transformation, and has appeared in Anak Sastra, Eastlit, North Dakota Quarterly, Grey Sparrow Journal and Eclectica. He is the author of Only the Dead Pass Here, a manuscript drawn from his years living along Thailand’s canals and rice fields.
