Paul Tan Kim Liang has published three volumes of verse. Curious Roads (1994) and Driving into Rain (1998) won prizes at the Singapore Literature Prize competitions. His most recent collection is First Meeting of Hands (2006). Apart from poetry, he has written journalistic articles, short plays, short stories and the lyrics to one National Day Song. He currently works at the National Arts Council and is the Festival Director of the Singapore Writers Festival.
