Rectangles can shape your view
of the world. Move about a room,
slices of life you see are limited,
fixed by the rules of geometry.
Minds, suffering formulaic restrictions,
too cowardly to step outside the box,
will never see the beauty
or the possibilities in a doorknob.

Good writing..made a lot of sense to me.
What motivated you towards this line of thought?
I have recently read the book "Pleasure of my company" by Steve Martin and it has very similar themes, and the protagonist is in the same state of mind. Literally, imposing restrictions on the physical world
